A Monefy alternative for SMS and voice entry.
Consider TrackExpenses if you want optional bank SMS imports and on-device voice drafts alongside a fixed monthly payday budget. Monefy already documents a custom first day of month, so payday reporting alone is not a reason to switch.
This page is written by TrackExpenses' developer. It compares documented workflows and does not claim to have tested every Monefy feature.
When to keep Monefy
If you are comfortable with manual entry and Monefy already gives you the records you need, there may be little value in moving. Its official help documents a first-day-of-month setting from 1 to 31, including aligning the month with payroll. A familiar entry habit is valuable.
When to try TrackExpenses
Try it when logging is the part you struggle to maintain. Optional Shortcuts automations pass supported bank alerts or Wallet purchases into the ledger. The app does not read your Messages inbox and does not need a bank login. With Pro, one spoken sentence can become several on-device drafts that you review before saving.
The free ledger includes budgets, historical stats, monthly CSV export and private iCloud sync, with 3 accounts, 3 recurring rules and 20 successful automatic bank SMS imports per calendar month per device. Pro adds forecasts/daily guidance, unlimited SMS imports/accounts/rules, voice and flexible import/export. Device and language support apply to voice.
Check your data before moving
Keep an original copy of your old records. Do not assume a CSV's columns have the same meanings in another app. TrackExpenses Pro previews CSV import and lets you map columns, but this page does not promise that every Monefy export is compatible. Test a small sample and check date, amount, currency, category and direction before confirming a larger import.
Account transfers are especially important to check: a move between your own accounts should not become a new purchase. A change of app should improve your workflow while preserving your understanding of the figures.
Compare a week of ordinary use
Try the same three or four real tasks: record a cash expense, review a bank alert, browse your payday month and export records. Keep the tool that makes those tasks easiest for you. No website comparison can measure that personal fit in advance.
